Watched The Brothers McMullen. Decent story — one of the better romantic comedies I’ve seen in a while, but it still perfectly fits the formulaic romantic comedy … well, formula. To a T. As such, by definition it has to go in as a 5/10. This actually deserves it — though I enjoyed it more than most, the acting was the worst I’ve seen in years.

Anyhow, as long as I’m revigiewing things, I tried that whole throw a two pound slab of salmon on a piece of soaked cedar over some hot coals and take it out when it reaches 125 degrees internal temperature thing. Works like a charm. Brilliant, honestly. Tastes nice, the cedar adds a pleasant flavor, not at all overcooked, perfect texture, yada yada. Highly recommended. Hothouse peppers coated with a fruity olive oil and some salt, cooked down for about 20-25 minutes on the grill also met great success.
