Watched (see how I did that, so you know I’m not talking about the book by John le Carré per se) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy the other night.
I’ll admit that the movie was much easier to follow once I paused briefly to Internet a bit and understand what all of the various words they were using meant (i.e. circus/cousins/etc.). As cold war espionage films go, it was relatively compelling if a bit drawn out: It clearly could have used somebody willing to take a knife to about half an hour of superfluous cruft and chrome. More or less exactly what you’d expect if you’re looking for this sort of film, though; worth a watch.
